President Prabowo Announces Reshuffle, Replacing Five Ministers and Adding New Ministries
JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto has finally decided to reshuffle the Red and White Cabinet. The announcement was made on Monday afternoon (September 8, 2025) at the State Palace.
According to State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, five ministries experienced changes in leadership and one new ministry was formed.
"This afternoon, the President decided on changes to the Red and White Cabinet's ministerial positions. There's one new ministry and five ministerial changes. Therefore, the inauguration will take place this afternoon," said Prasetyo.
The ministries that experienced changes were:
Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenkopolkam)
Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu)
Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop)
Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers and Workers (new ministry)
Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora)
The inauguration of the new ministers is scheduled to take place this afternoon at the State Palace.
This reshuffle is a crucial step for President Prabowo in restructuring the Red and White Cabinet to strengthen his administration's policy direction going forward. As of now, there are no official details on who will fill the new positions.
