The National Police are collaborating with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to hunt down the masterminds behind the riots.
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is collaborating with the Indonesian National Armed Forces' Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to investigate the masterminds behind the riots during demonstrations in several regions in Indonesia, including Jakarta on August 28-30, 2025, last week.
According to him, the facts obtained by the Police need to be supplemented with other information from BAIS and BIN so that they can be revealed clearly.
"Of course, we have a duty to further investigate the incident. We will continue to complete the facts we have gathered. We will collaborate with our colleagues from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian Intelligence Agency (BAIS), the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), and all other sources of information to help us complete the investigation. We support all input and information that can shed light on what we are currently undertaking," Listyo said when met at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Sunday evening (September 7, 2025).
Listyo emphasized the importance of maintaining a conducive environment in Indonesia, including Jakarta as the capital and economic center. He believes that a conducive environment allows Indonesia to carry out development.
"The most important thing going forward is how we maintain the conducive environment of this nation so that it continues to be well-maintained. Because that's how Indonesia can carry out development and provide good lighting. I think that's it," he said.
